How Uravukal Matrimony Works

Step 1: Register

Create an account with your mobile number. Your number is verified with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. A profile can be created for yourself or for a family member.

Online member registration is being prepared for launch.

Step 2: Create the Matrimonial Profile

Provide the information required for a meaningful matrimonial profile. Depending on the profile, this may include:

• personal details
• location
• education
• profession
• family information
• community information
• photographs
• horoscope information where voluntarily provided
• matrimonial preferences

Step 3: Review and Verification

Profiles and submitted information go through a review and verification process before a profile is shown to other members. Supporting documents submitted for verification are kept private and are not displayed on profiles.

Verification is intended to improve trust but does not guarantee the accuracy of every statement supplied by a member.

Step 4: Discover Profiles

Eligible members can discover matrimonial profiles using the discovery features available to their account and membership.

Step 5: Express Interest

Members can express matrimonial interest in another profile. The recipient may accept or decline. An interest does not create any obligation on the recipient.

Step 6: Contact Access

Contact information is not automatically disclosed to every user. Contact access is governed by Uravukal's privacy, approval, eligibility and membership rules.

Paid membership does not override another member's applicable privacy and consent requirements.

Step 7: Family Discussion and Independent Verification

Members and families should independently verify information and make their own matrimonial decisions before proceeding.

Uravukal Matrimony facilitates introductions but does not decide whether two individuals should marry.
