  • gender (whether the profile is for a bride or a groom)
  • height, weight, marital status, mother tongue and religion

  • community-related information voluntarily provided for matrimonial purposes
  • education, occupation, employment and income-range details
  • family information and, where provided, property and lifestyle details
  • photographs submitted by the member
  • documents submitted for verification, such as identity, education, occupation or horoscope documents
  • horoscope-related information where voluntarily provided
  • partner preferences
  • interests and interactions within the service, such as interests sent and received, profile views, saved profiles, contact access, blocks and reports
  • verification information
  • subscription and transaction records
  • customer-support communications, including your email address if you contact us by email
  • notification preferences
  • login, device, browser, security and technical information, such as device type, browser family and server logs, which may include IP addresses

3. Why We Use Information

4. Matrimonial Profile Visibility

Information entered into a matrimonial profile may be displayed to other eligible users according to the platform's visibility, membership, privacy and access rules.

Sensitive contact information is not automatically made available merely because another person views a profile. Where contact access is supported, it remains subject to the platform's applicable access and approval rules.

Documents submitted for verification are used for review and are not displayed on profiles.

5. Payments

When paid membership is enabled, payments may be processed by an authorized third-party payment provider.

Uravukal Matrimony does not need to store complete card numbers, CVV or UPI PINs in order to provide its membership service.

Payment providers may separately process payment and transaction information under their own terms and privacy practices.

6. Service Providers

We may use trusted service providers for functions such as:

  • hosting and infrastructure
  • SMS/OTP delivery
  • payment processing
  • browser push notification delivery, where you choose to enable notifications
  • security
  • storage
  • operational communications

They may process information only as necessary to provide those services and subject to applicable obligations.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Members are responsible for keeping their login credentials and devices secure.

8. Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, operation of the matrimonial service, legitimate recordkeeping, dispute handling, security and applicable legal obligations.

Information may be deleted, anonymized or retained according to applicable requirements after an account is closed. When a profile is closed, profile content, photographs, documents and contact numbers are removed or de-identified through our closure process, except records we need to keep for payment, security, safety, dispute or legal purposes.

9. Member Choices and Requests

Subject to applicable law and product rules, members may contact us regarding:

  • correction of inaccurate information
  • account or profile closure
  • privacy questions
  • requests concerning their personal information

Identity verification may be required before fulfilling certain requests.

10. Children's Privacy

Uravukal Matrimony is intended only for individuals who are legally eligible to marry under applicable law, and it is not designed for children.

11. Cookies and Technical Data

The Uravukal Matrimony service uses an essential cookie to keep members signed in and to protect accounts, and limited browser storage for interface preferences. These are used for authentication, security, session management, preferences and service operation.

We do not use advertising cookies. The information pages on this website do not set cookies.

This policy may be updated when the service, applicable requirements or operational practices change.
